Terms of use
By installing or using Ebors (“the app”) you agree to the terms below. The app is provided by Tejas Thimmaiah (“we”).
1. License to use the app
The app is free of charge. You may install and use it on any number of devices you own or control, for any purpose, personal or commercial. The source code is published under the Apache License, Version 2.0 — see the licensing page for details on what that means for redistribution and forks.
2. Acceptable use
The app is a general-purpose web browser. You are responsible for the content you choose to access and for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction. We do not monitor, host, or moderate the websites you visit.
3. Third-party content
Websites you visit through the app are operated by third parties. We make no warranty about their content, accuracy, safety, or availability. The built-in ad/tracker block list is a best-effort utility and may occasionally block or fail to block a request; you can disable it in Settings if it breaks a site you need.
4. No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from or in connection with the app.
This is also the warranty disclaimer required by the Apache License, Version 2.0 under which the app’s source code is distributed.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
6. Updates and changes
We may release updates to the app from time to time. You are under no obligation to install them, but features may change or be removed in future versions. These terms may also change; if they do, the change will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
7. Privacy
Use of the app is also governed by our privacy policy, which describes what data the app stores on your device (and what it does not collect or transmit).
8. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Most locally stored app data is removed that exludes downloads; because nothing was sent off-device, no further action is required.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in India.
